Fratelli Restaurant Singapore

There’s something about family businesses that makes restaurants all the more appealing to go to. The Fratelli Restaurant – Trattoria and Pizzeria in Singapore and their Italian food menu is a testament to this.

Brothers Enrico and Roberto Cerea (who’s also the duo behind the three-Michelin-starred Da Vittorio in Lombardy, Italy) started the restaurant in Sentosa in an effort to bring a taste of Bergamo to Singapore.

(And fun fact: “Fratelli” actually means “Brothers” in Italian!)

THE LOCATION & AMBIENCE

If you’re going to Universal Studios, the restaurant is the most convenient spot to grab a bite. Its exterior stands out with its distinct Italian architecture and fern green and yellow color palette.

The fern green exterior also extends inside with the Fratelli restaurant’s interior exuding a warm vibe that reminds me of something that a family of four would be having dinner in (Not much of a surprise since a famous theme park is just nearby).

THE ITALIAN FOOD MENU

They weren’t kidding when they the Fratelli Restaurant aimed to bring a taste of Italy to Asia’s Lion City. Their Italian food menu is worth going back for and their pizzas are definitely the star of the show. I also liked that they had vegetarian and vegan options like the Mediterranea pizza and the Gnocchetti alla Sorrentina on their menu.

They also have a crowd favorite — the Strawberry Planet. It was such a delight seeing the shell cracked open to reveal a tasty treat inside!

One thing that grabs your attention about the Fratelli restaurant is that their a la carte and set menu is only served during dinner as they only cater to customers from 6pm to 10:30pm.

They’re a dinner-exclusive restaurant so you won’t really get to fulfill your Italian food cravings if you’re anywhere in the vicinity during lunch time.

They do have a Lounge Bites Menu starting at 3pm but I think it’s better to experience their dinner instead.
