Ritz Carlton Cairo

In the past few years that we’ve been traveling, we’ve seen many sights and went through many experiences. But really, witnessing some of the world’s 8 Wonders will always be on any traveler’s bucket list. In fact, our recent visit to Egypt allowed us to see the must-see Pyramids! But of course, our trip wouldn’t be the same without our stay at The Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo.

The Spacious Room

We stayed in one of their executive suites where we had a comfy king-sized bed and a marble bathroom. The windows on one side of our bed extended from ceiling to floor so we had a great view of the River Nile when waking up.

Our accommodation could fit up to three people and we definitely took advantage of how spacious it was.

One downside to it was the noise though. We could hear honking cars all the way from the 12th floor. Cairo is very noisy during the day/evening. Be prepared for that.

The Nile Ritz-Carlton Dining Experience

The thing is that we arrived during Ramadan season — a time when not a lot of food outlets were open. We also feel that the service was a bit slower too than our other Ritz-Carlton experiences.

With Stephanie being a vegetarian, she had plenty of options at the breakfast buffet. She loves hummus and fresh fruit and was surprised with the options she had. We had a great time breaking the fast at dinner time and eating outside while watching a football game on live television.

Peter had his first shisha experience and the funny staff members made it unforgettable.

The Nile Ritz-Carlton dining experience didn’t exactly offer too many options during our stay (which was totally understandable because it’s their customs). However, we still definitely recommend trying their food experiences as we enjoyed it even during Ramadan.

The Accommodating Service

Now, if you’ve been following us for quite some time now, you’d know that we’ve been to a handful of Ritz Carlton hotels and every stay had a special element. But our check-in experience at the Ritz-Carlton Cairo wasn’t exactly the usual Ritz Carlton-style that we’re used to.

For starters, there was confusion over the payment during our check-in and we were offered a brown honey-like drink but they didn’t tell us what the drink was. It might be that we are spoiled by our other experiences but we just want to be 100% honest about our stays.

But our general experience with the staff more than makes up for this as they helped us with unpacking our luggage (saved a lot of time on our part!) Concierge also offered great service. The nice executive lounge manager also offered us lounge access and this is so worth it. If you want to experience a nice sunset with views over the Nile we highly recommend the executive lounge.

I’d definitely say that the Club Lounge elevated the luxurious experience that Ritz Carlton is known for providing to its guests.

This was our home for a few days!

Perfect for…

The Ritz-Carlton Cairo is great for couples looking to get a taste of the complete Egyptian experience. The must-see River Nile is just a peek away from your bedroom window. The Club Lounge also makes a good spot for business owners to work from.

If we were to pinpoint what we loved most about the Ritz-Carlton Cairo, the accessibility and its location definitely tops the list.

Other than the River Nile, the Egyptian Museum and the Cairo Tower are also just a few minutes away. There’s a couple of food spots nearby if you want a break from the food the hotel offers. It’s also sitted right at the city center so it’s quite easy to reach your must-see destinations!

With its accessible location along the River Nile, the warm and welcoming service and the spacious rooms, The Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo hotel is one accommodation worth considering when you visit Egypt.

If all these are right up your alley, the hotel is located at 1113 Corniche El Nil Cairo, 11221 Egypt. You can also book your stay at The Nile Ritz-Carlton through their website or call them at +20225778899.
