Hidden in the Northern part of Oman in a bay surrounded by mountains. It is as secluded as can be, with nothing else but mountains in a 20 minute drive radius. Therefore the long stretch of beach is completely private. Even at full occupancy you would feel like being alone.

We really believe that Six Senses Zighy Bay’s accommodations are the scene-stealer. With natural stone walls and wooden ceilings, the villas and suites perfectly capture the vibe of primeval Oman. It has just the right amount of ruggedness that gives it a different kind of hotel experience without sacrificing the comfort that you’d expect from a luxury accommodation. The villas come equipped with their own private pool. We recommend booking the beach villas. You can step right out of your villa on to the beach. Plus, the views from your terrace are magical.

The Food

True to Six Senses fashion, they have multiple dining options you can choose from. Six, to be exact. If you’d like to experience dining outdoors to take in a gorgeous view, their Sense on the Edge is a mountaintop restaurant worth trying.

They have a wine cellar for those who’d like to taste the best of Oman’s beverages and their main restaurant, the Summer House should be a must-try if you’re craving Arabic cuisine.

Activities

As with most luxury resorts, Six Senses Zighy Bay has an abundance of activities you can try. We particularly enjoyed Zighy Bay’s signature activity, paragliding into the resort. It is recommended to book that at arrival to arrive in style like you can’t anywhere else.

Being near the water, they also offer a sunset cruise that makes the perfect activity for couples. For adventurous folks, the locations natural wonders make it the right place to let loose your inner daredevil with activities such as mountain biking, and Zighy Bay hikes.
