It isn’t always easy to start a conversation with someone. Add the language barrier to this mixture and finding friends while traveling is a disaster. If you have no idea on what to ask a stranger here are some questions to get the conversation started.
Be open and genuinely listen to your new found friend!
With this post I also want to get more personal with you guys. I’ve been blogging for more than a year and what do you really know about me? I love to travel and …? I created this small interview for getting to know me a little better.
I’m also curious who you are and why you are reading this blog. Pick one of these questions below and answer it in the comments.
Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
If I’m hosting a dinner party I would invite more than 1 person so around my table there would be Beyoncé, Casey Neistat and the Daila Lama.
Morning person or an evening person?
I’m NOT a morning person. It takes me hours to wake up properly. Sometimes I arrive at my work and I have no idea how I got there. Definitely an evening person, all my posts get written at night!
What made you travel in the first place?
It all started when I was a little girl. My mother loves to travel and I’m an only child. Every weekend my mother took me to discover a new place. My father doesn’t like to travel so luckily for my mother I loved being away. At an early age the travel bug got to me and it’s still my biggest passion.
What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?
Discovering a new place or a new experience! I don’t care if it’s in Belgium or the other side of the world, as long as it’s new and with lovely people.
For what in your life do you feel most grateful?
I’m so thankful for my health. For me that’s the most important thing in life. That you are able to feel good and do all the things you want. Don’t take your health for granted. We only have one body so treat it as your most precious possession.
What is the greatest accomplishment of your life?
One of my greatest accomplishments is getting my bachelors degree in education. I’m not a believer in getting a paper to get the job you want. I think you can learn everything without going to university. Although society still pushes you to get a paper. So the fact that I got a degree is quite the accomplishment.
