2015 in facts and numbers

Brussels atomium

In 2015 I’ve doubled almost all my numbers of 2014. The nights in a hotel even tripled this year.

2015 in numbers:

9 flights

10 countries

8 city trips

71 nights in a hotel

And I’m ready for a new year with even more travel adventures. My suitcase is ready for it. I’m ending 2015 in country number 23 for me, Norway.

I asked myself some questions to reminisce about all the great things I did this year.

5 questions about 2015:

1. Best hotel experience

This one is easy to answer. The toren in Amsterdam. I was blown away with the room, the staff, the location. I wanted to stay there and never leave. I had the special deluxe room with garden view. A whirlpool was included. WOW!

2. Best dining experience

It’s not really the best food I’ve had this year but more likely the most crazy experience when it comes to dining. That would be C-taste in Amsterdam. Read this post about Amsterdam if you want to know more.

3. Funniest moment/most memorable moment

My graduation from university as a teacher. I can still remember the smile on my face. It lasted for days on end.

4. Country I was most surprised of

Definitely Montenegro. I’ve never taught I would answer this but it’s true. The nature is breathtaking and it’s worth your visit in 2016.

5. Best hidden treasure (place/restaurant/ …)

I picked Bordeaux, France because I never imagined to find such a beautiful city. I had the feeling of truly being on vacation while it’s just a few hours away from Belgium.

I’m curious how my numbers will look like in 2016!

Q: Where are you ending 2015?

Pregnant on the couch, with not many travels to look forward to in 2016. But 2015 had me visiting several different countries, New Zealand and Singapore being amongst them, so I won’t complain.

No reason to complain. A cute baby on the way and you’ve been in New Zealand and Singapore. I’m quite jealous!

When is the baby ready to see this beautiful world?
